Sky Q does not turn off any TV using HDMI Control (Bravia Sync/CEC/etc.). That function is not included with Sky Q.
Assuming that the remote has been correctly paired with your TV then hold down the Sky Q remote power button for 2-3 seconds and that should put the TV into standby. So it requires two presses on the Sky Q remote power button. Short one for Sky Q and longer one for the TV..

Hey @standishman65, this issue is related to the Sky Q box. Have you tested the Bravia Sync features with the Sony remote? Does it turn On/Off both devices? As this feature is mainly allowing you to use your TV's remote to control other Bravia Sync compatible devices.

Thanks for this.
I have just upgraded our Bravia and was having issues with the restart problem.
Bang on 3 seconds and off it goes.
Happy wife Happy life!!

What's wrong with the soundbar itself? Is it a Sony SB? Or not?

Hi SkyNet
Its a Sony soundbar. Just a few issues regards menus etc. Think I'm there now. It was a lag in lip sync which I eventually found. Typical bloke in that connect it all up and then read a manual when something isn't right. Or that's what the wife says but what do they know? LOL

Wives know:-
Switch it off and switch it on again.
Reboot it.
Reset it.
Go in the other room and watch the non-Sony TV there 😛
My favourite bedtime reading is a Sony product manual…
