I have the same experience. And it's disheartening as 10 years old Kaon set-to-box is able to record 4 channels at the same time via it's twin tuner as long as those 4 channels map on two encrypted multiplexes (each multipex tuned by one tuner). So it's clearly not a limitation of CA module and/or subscriber's smart card.
