App Time-Lapse

I just installed the application Time-lapse on my RX100. What I see is that the screen does not switch off during acquisition. Thus the battery drains very fast not allowing me to create a sequence with an original duration of e.g. hours.

I could not find an option to switch off the screen. Did I miss this?

As far as I know, you cannot switch off the screen! This has been an issue that plagues Sony cameras.

The newest models can be connected through USB for power supply though, but that's only half a solution. Only external power is a real solution for the moment.
