HT-CT800 Soundbar

Hello. I have issues with CT800 soundbar. Everything worked fine, until this dumb update M39.R.0379. Now, when turning on from standby, it takes very long to start up, showing Please Wait. Sometimes a TV give me an message that "TV speakers is active due communication failure" (TV is also Sony, Xe7005), I think because too long response from soundbar. So what I should do!?!? Everything worked fine until this update.

Sony said about update:

Benefits and improvements from the latest update

  • Improved connectivity with wireless subwoofer

I didn't have any problems with communication with subwoofer, they made update, and made it worst. Why you making updates if everything working fine? And, when you make an update, please make sure that update is working well, before make it public. Thank you!!!

Hi aivaras123-,

I'll just see if I can find any help regarding this. In the meantime though, maybe another community member might have some ideas.

Thanks,

Pascale

Updating firmware is always suggested but you choose to do it or not. In any case have a look at your ht user manual an try resetting to factory setting. It may help

Hello. Yes it is in my decision update it or not. Update always means that
something is fixed, new menu, etc. In electronic equipment, always need to
be up-to-date, that all functions work properly, am I correct?? Resseting
to factory settings means that settings will be default, not the software
version.

Yes only the setting as if you bought it a new. The firmware will remain the latest

I agree with rooobb, try resetting it to factory settings, it seems that there's a glitch or corrupted file that causes this long windup before it starts, let us know how it goes after trying it.

In these models, factory settings is done by update. It means, everytime
after update, factory settings is set. After update search for my network,
enter password. And other settings as well. So no, factory setting reset
will no help

This may sound too simple, but have you tried disconnecting it completely for a couple of minutes?
