camera slow to load

Recently, after pressing the camera button, the screen will activate but it can take about 90 seconds for the camera app to open. It was ok before. Anyone else have this?

Backed up phone. Did repair. Repair failed (said it wasn't connected to the internet - it was) now stuck at O2 welcome screen, unresponsive and the buttons don't work. Connected to PC - even after a reboot of the PC - and pc companion can't find the phone.

Update:

Pressed the reset pin thing a few times, disconneced and reconnected with the pc and eventually it updated.

Bombed back to the stone age... having to reinstall all my apps, shortcuts and settings. A rather drastic fix for a rather minor problem but at least it seems to have done the job.

Do you have other apps running in the background? - Does this happen after you 1st boot your device up or turn it on?

No apps running. As a test, I powered down and rebooted the phone. Pressing the camera button and 80secs later the app opened. Seems like something's a memory hog?

You could also try safemode which if it runs fine means theres an app or apps causing this delay you have

Boot into safe mode

Safemode was just the same. I deleted a few AR Effect apps and rebooted but still up to 2 mins to open camera. Puzzled.

All I've got is the below

Try performing a system repair using PC Companion as this will often fix issues - This will factory reset your phone and erase all data so best to backup before you begin

Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process

If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP
