Hi,
My Xperia M2 is draining power very quickly. It also only charges up when the phone is turned off and this does not happen all the time. When it does charge, even overnight, it only reaches approx 50 to 59 %.
I have done a PCC repair after a back up to restore. I have removed most apps and all games, so plenty of memory.
I have replaced the battery with a new one and it still only charges to 59%.
I've checked battery usage in settings and the 3 highest are Android System 23% (with a paint palatte icon), Media 22% and Android OS 12%.
Within a few hours of minimal use, it has little or no charge and and is driving me mad, because all the functions work fine and I love the phone.
It is not even 12 months old yet. Can anyone help please?
Thanks in advance :smileyztele::smileyplus:

Well the good news after updating to Lollipop is the phone charged tp 100% last night. It also charges whist on now and the battery drain seems to have stopped. Early days, but hopefully that is the problem sorted!
Did you try using different USB cables and/or chargers?
Hi, Yes I have tried 2 genuine Sony chargers and the same result
Hi @Smiff
Which version of Android OS and software version is your Xperia M2 running ? To find your device’s current software version go to Settings -> About phone -> Build number / version. Keep us updated please.
Build number 18.3.1.C.1.17
Model Number D2303
Android Version 4.4.4
Does anyone know what the kernal version should be?
Battery died again after about 5 hrs today. Just updated to lollipop 5.1. I'll let you know if that sorts it out
Hi @Smiff
Glad to read this. I´m at disposal for any question.
Hello, my xperia M2 doesn't charge with any usb cable. What I do?
Update the software. You can check in settings-about phone to see if it is upto date.
I also found blowing into the phone usb port before inserting the cable helps remove dust and static and this also worked.
