hi, less than a year ago i bought M5 dual while i was working in saudi arabia. soon i got problem with the battery. i sent it to service center. after 2 times sent and took about a month, i got the battery replacement. then everythiing run ok although the battery only last about 12 hrs and handset became 'little overheat' while i used it to browse news. i only play 'solitaire' game and no other. mostly only for music, news and whatsapp. not much app in the phone and only use playstore. it got update to marshmellow and ok.
the i went back to my home country indonesia.
two-three times app update through playstore no problem. then came problem about 2 months ago.
the night before happened, i update some app through playstore. un-notice problem came up. the mobile suddenly power-off after update finished. in the morning everything seem ok. i used it for whatsapp no problem. (in the morning, that what i usually check). i went out and i used bluetooth headset (sony's sbh-54) for music. i always listening music through bluetooth, and always use sony's. on the street, i got messege, i checked and the cellular signal gone, simcard cannot be read but bluetooth ok. i tried to restart but no success, bluetooth still ok. at home i checked again, still same, bluetooth and wi-fi ok.
then i went to sony service center. the next day i got answer. they could not fix my mobile since they do not have the software to unlock the mobile. yes, they said my moblie got locked. i told them, i bought the mobile from sony stotre in saudi arabia and saudi arabia all mobile sold unlock, can be use with any provider you like. but they said they cannot fix it.
back at home i opened the xperia companion from sony and tried to use feature 'software repair'. the procedure ok but then battery dead after the last step (restarting). the power was at 85% when i started the process and sony recomended 80%. i tried to charge it, the charging light was red, 10 hrs latter still no changed and still red, mobile and charger still cold that mean no charging. i tried to use different charger also no change (i have more than two sony charger since i only use sony's mobile and i have 3 sony's bluetooth headset).
now, what should i do with my m5 that i bought no yet one year? i cannot use the warranty since i bought it in saudi arabia while i worked there and now i'm back in indonesia my home country. in saudi and in indonesia i used authorized sony service centers. in indonesia they offered me the battery replacement (i have to buy it since it from different country) but what for if i cannot use the mobile because it cannot read the simcard? it's not even one year old!
please help me.
