My sony xperia M4 is not recongnised by any pc please help!
i have lost hundreds of very important pictures and need to restore them with the xperia companion but when i use a usb cable to connect phone to pc it will only charge the phone but will not show up on pc.I have tried everything differnet laptops and different usb cables and tryed changing settings on the phone im not sure what else to do someone please please help me lost some very important photos..:(

This is a type c connector, but you can see the flat thing in the Middle.

It looks okay from what I can see. Nothing seems to be covering it. It does seem to slope towards one end. But this could just be my eye.
The main reason. I need to connect is to see if I can update to android 6.0, as far as i know the only way is to connect to pc.

Go to the control panel and open up device manager, then go view, show hidden, plug your phone in, and let us know if there are any devices in "other" that have an exclamation mark
