Hi i'm Martin and iv'e been using Sony products for years and years and my main phone is an Xperia M5. I always buy Sony mobiles as i just love the camera's on them as well as all the great software and hardware. I need a little help with an issue i have reguarding my Xperia M5, when i record 1080p video at 60fps and download it to my computer all i get is sound but no video. My computer is more than capable to play 60fps video but it just simply won't play. Any ideas???

Since my phone updated to Marshmallow a few days ago, the 1080p60fps video now plays fine on the computer. Turns out it was a sofware issue apparently. Computer runs the video perfectly so defo wasn't a computer problem.

Iv'e connected the phone to the computer and dragged and dropped on to desktop and in video folder and i have also sent it via wifi using Shareit app, and also opening the folder through the pc companion app on the computer and dragging and dropping. The computer doesn't even show a thumbnail of the video once it's on my computer, but when i drag and drop a video i recorded in standard 1080p30fps i get the thumbnail and it plays no problem. Very strange. Vlc won't play it either.

Well I have tried to reproduce it using my Z5C, it works well.
I am inclined to believe this is on the computer side, try to download codecs ( you google one)
there are also hardware rendering problems in 1080p60fps playback, make sure your computer is up to the task,
you can check this by using another computer.
also try to google "can't play 60fps videos windows"
