Problem connecting to blue tooth speaker

So I recent bought an SRS X-11 speaker. Everytime I connect to it via bluetooth, the audio quality is awful. It's completely distorted and incomprehensible. On Spotify and YouTube it's even worse. After a time, it even loses connection. However, it's completely fine and works perfectly on other non Sony devices. I've tried hard reseting my phone, activating it in safe mode but nothing works. Everything is up to date. Any advice?

I also have SRS X11 and it works great with every xperia device I have (Z2, Z5c, X, XZ etc). What do you mean by hard reset? @Kekmeme

I just thought it was odd that it didn't work with my m2 and apparently it does with my sister's m4 @alexdon

@Kekmeme Have you tested bluetooth on your device? Connect some smartwear or other stuff.

I am having difficulty getting media content to stream to a new Powerbeats3 Bluetooth headset.

Phone calls work, but media streaming does not.

(the Bluetooth page indicates that "phone" and "media" are both enabled, and the headset seems to pair OK. Remote control funcionality is there, but no audio)

Have done a complete software reinstall, but it still doesn't work.

Works fine with Apple devices, and other Android devices (from Samsung .....)

What's the story ? Shouldn't this be second nature to an Android phone ?
