Can't update xperia on PC companion!

Can anyone help me, when I go on to PC companion I follow the promps but for strange reason when I try to connect to the (MTP) Media Transfer mode PC companion say that It has lost connection!

turn off your antivirus and/or firewall then try again with SEUS (not pcc)

btw did you restarted your computer after installing PCC and SEUS?

try that if it doesn't work then

restart your PC then press F8 and select safe mode -> turn off antivirus and/or firewalls -> run SEUS

bootloader is locked (I don't have any advice that the software is modified). have tried both methods, not working.

can you try with a different Internet connection

one more thing... my track id is not working, so my deduction is that i have an unlocked bootloader, but when i try to update it just says "update failed"

yeah indeed thats an indication that it is unlocked

you must take care that your phone battery should be more than 50% otherwise it'll fail because i had also experienced this problem....  Try this i'm sure that you will be successful

I had a similar problem updating my Xperia Arc S phone using PC companion. I then stumbled upon this thread while looking for info and downloaded the Sony Update software. The update works.

I then tried PC Companion on my new PC, which runs on Windows 7, and it's workly perfectly. Documented everything on this Sony Android update web page.

I tried 3 times to relock the bootloader, not succefully

Now I have no method to update my phone

I have asked for help on xda forum, but no response.

can I find what method was used to unlock my bootloader? If it was unlocked by omnia, can I relock it? What others methods are to unlock the bootloader?
