gesture input?

Hi

I've just had the xperia arc s for a couple of days and I'm trying to get the gesture input to work (I'm guessing this is their swipe-to-write thing).

I can't find any way of enabling this. I live in Hong Kong so the phone has chinese, japanese and international text input options in the setting screen. I've ticked the 'gesture input' box in the international settings, but when I get to write a message and go to the settings all I get are the chinese text input options, which are obviously no good.

Any ideas what to do? Is there something blindingly obvious that I have (or haven't) done?

you said you ticked the gesture input in international settings..

long press the messaging box and select input method..there select international keyboard and then try gesture input..it should ork..
