I think we all do this regularly; I keep my phone charging overnight, I watched it once, what really happens is it keeps on charging till it reaches 100% and it automatically disables charging, when it drops to 99%, it charges again till 100%, and stops till it drops back till 99% and so on..
I was wondering, is this healthy for the phone's battery?
What can I do about it?
Thanks in advance.

So the problem is specific not generic since your app may be not fully android compatible and you are repairing that with another app... that makes more sense but it is still specific not for everyone. And about good readings, have you read my example about shutting down background data since a background app is mostly related with background data? Hope so just because is more practical and Os friendly than using an all time active app to get it done at the wrong way.

Thank you Suze for this great info! I keep my phone charged from 10pm-7am too on school days, and the graph was as I predicted No problems for me too Thank you ak3dgfx and all who have helped or tried to So I could summarize, as I thought, it is not unhealthy, and is a normal activity to keep your phone charging overnight. xD

it is just under setting/account&sync It will also hardly improve your power consumption. And when needed you will be prompted to enable it again. HTH.

ah ok, yeah I'd done that, I thought there was another submenu to stop some other background data/apps but thank you.

Wait a minute... such setting is intended to shut down all background data activities even third party apps related... may be you have installed a not fully compatible apps that generates some malfunction you must address by any kind of taskkiller...

That was my first assumption but as you can see up there, even after repair/reflash my phone, and if I run those apps my phone can't handle it and becomes really slow and that's before installing any task killer just basic google apps like maps, gmail, etc.

Hope next update/upgrade will fix such annoying issue.. in the meantime we must still testing alternative apps to find out the best/more reliable/friendly one. Have a nice day!
