Problems updating to 4.0.2.A.0.42

Today just apeared the messege that a new operative system was avaliable for my XA, I tried to update via PC Companion but it fails, on the second stage, preparing the phone, it apears a messege saying to disconect the phone, wait 5 seconds and plug it in again but holding the volume key, but it doesn't do anything at all. Any advice?

hey i'm having a similar problem, i updated it then it went black and wouldn respond, i already downloaded the update service and reupdated it, still nothing. when is conected to my Pc, the OS keps conecting and disconecting endlessly, when i unplug it from the pc is non responsive so i cant tell if i am turning it on or of. what can i do? please help!

i actually have an xperia neo 8mp version. i wasnt able to back up my stock rom before i flashed a custom rom, i was wondering if i was to flash 4.0.2.A.0.42 using clockworkmod, would that work out for me? pls email me asap since im barely online here at sony ericsson [email protected]
