KDL-W805a - Bravia sound on AV Receiver

I recently purchased a W805. This has been linked up to my Sony STR-KS1300, with the Bravia link enabled. Out with terrestrial tv and my media PC all other components go into the AV receiver using HDMI. The issue I have is the the volume level I expected it no where as high as it should be. Does any body have the same issue or know how to best solve it? My previously Sony TV was fine and was controlled by Bravia link.

With Optical, its all or nothing.

Next thing to do is to reset all sound-fields.

Hi there

Im a little confused on your description - So hoping to clarify.

Is the volume lower than it should be? or is it higher than it should?

Cheers

Hi, sorry the volume isn't as high as it should be or was with my old Tv.

Thanks

Hmmm..

I guess the first thing to do though is ensure all connections are secure, especially the speaker connections.  Do a audio check to ensure sound is coming out of each speaker.  And ensure speaker settings are correct.

Also ensure that any secondary devices connected (and your using) are not over-riding the volume.  For example, DVD/Bluray players have a volume button as well.

Give that a go firstly anyhow.

Cheers

Checked all the speakers and removed PS4 and XBox One from system. After that done a reset on the TV. As soon as the TV and Receiver sync's volume back to the way it was. Could it be to do with the optical cable feeding to the receiver? Normal listening on the TV it shows at 55, which seems high. Thanks.

Think this has helped a bit. Should save me buying a new AV Receiver.
