Please if anyone can help...
Recently purchased a Vaio FE31H and removed Norton. Firstly i removed Norton via Symantec site and then used TuneUp Utilities 2006 and Ran the Disc Cleaner, Registry Cleaner and Registry Defrag.
Clever dick me didn't set up a restore point .
I am getting a few error messages i.e When i close Explorer (I had already installed Explorer7) and when i open Media Center. And although i dont think these may be related, im still thinking the worst and that indeed i may have removed some files necessary for the applications?
What do you think? I was thinking maybe i should attempt to get all the files that TuneUp Utilities cleaned out and get them back to test if that helps? Or i should just try and sort out the problems with the applications which may be unconnected anyway? How would i get these files back....?
Also the fact i used TuneUp Utilities and it got rid of loads of files may mean that when/if i want to install Vista, its removed some of the preinstalled files needed and it will cause me problems later on!?
Would System Restore help?
I hope i am just over worrying, Any help/advice would be great!
P.S I just looked in TuneUp Utilties and it has a RESCUE CENTER and can restore everything its changed/Deleted. Would this be enough!?
