NWZ-W273 Waterproof Walkman - Won't charge?

I have a new W273 Waterproof Walkman.  When I put it on its charging cradle its not charging.  I've made sure it is clipped on correctly and the usb is recognised as media is transferring, it just wont charge above 14%.  Very frustrating.  Am I missing doing something?  Any help greatly apprecaited.  Thanks

Sometimes USB ports can be a bit funny with certain devices. Try charging it off a dedicated USB charger, the type you get with a mobile phone.

If that doesn't work then Its likely that the battery is faulty, I would suggest returning it to the retailer or to sony for a warranty claim.
