I just bought the pcm-m10. I'm very happy with the product but it seems that the rightchannel is always a bit more "hot" /strong then the left channel. It have been like this since my first recording. I do not hear a unbalance between the left and right in the stereo field but still the signals are always unbalanced with up to 3-6 dBFTS stronger signal at the right channel. My guess is that either the preamp for the right channel is more gained up then the left channel or that the left membrane has less good frequency response and thus not picking up the same amount of energy giving a less strong intensity of the sound for that channel without affecting the stereo perception of the listener due to the A/B microphones working with mostly time difference to create the stereo field. Or could it be a simple software bugg?
