I had problem with the mic to my brand new xperia s tablet. poor quality sound at video calls(skype) and video recordings. It was a hardware problem and under guaranty of DOA7 the store gave me an other one. If your mic works fine when you record a video then you have to check the software. Otherwise you have the same problem with me .
