Problems with Movie Player

Hi all,

I recently loaded some movies on to my Tablet S and I have noticed two things:

Some of the movies that played with no issue have stopped working since the latest (4.0.3r5) update was loaded

Some movies that would not play at all on the stock movie player will play fine on MX player.

Surely the codecs etc. are the same so would appreciate any light that can be shed on why this is.

the stock player supports less formats than MX player.

each player downloads and installs its own codec libraries on Android, codecs are not a shared resource
