Usable memory on 16gb Z?

I just got a Z but I cant figure out where the space has gone.

Total usable memory is listed as 11.363gb. Total used memory is declared around 1.6gb. Total available memory is 2.1gb.

Where is the nearly 8gb of missing memory?.

I know its not a particularly big deal as you can use microSD for as much memory as you want but im still curious.

Download a file manager such as Astro file manager and use it to see where the space has gone.
