Changed my password to screenlock, now phone won't open

I changed my password to screenlock and now phone won't open though the fingerprint is working. It claims that the password is needed and password is wrong though I type it right. I have tried it again and again, but phone stays locked.

Hi @Screenlock1, sorry to hear about this. Slightly_frowning_Face

There are some specific cases where you will need your backup screen lock to unlock the device and the fingerprint isn't enough.

  • The first time that you unlock your device after you have enabled fingerprint.
  • When your fingerprint isn't recognized after 5 tries.
  • After restarting your device.
  • When more than 72 hours have passed since you last unlocked your device using your backup screen unlock option.

To remove the screen lock, you will need to perform a software repair using Xperia Companion and this will delete all data stored on the internal storage of the device.

I hope that helps!
