I have looked on the official list, but not found what the following icon means.
It is two small squares linked at right angles by an L-shaped dotted line.

Are you in the process of setting up your phone or transferring stuff to it? What you're describing looks similar to the icon that appears when Xperia Transfer or Google Backup is restoring data to phone.
@Argy1948 please post a screenshot of the display, where exactly does this icon show up? If it is on the left side of the screen, it might be an app responsible.

Hi @Argy1948,
As mentioned, a screenshot would be awesome and you can grab one if you press and hold the power button > tap on "Take screenshot" and then you can upload it here!
If the icon is to the left in the status bar, in most cases you can drag the notification bar down and find the icon in the list (it will be shown on the notification) > press and hold on the notification and you should see which application is sending it out.
Thank you in advance!
I have the same question. Here is a picture (a little fuzzy I'm afraid)
Hi @Bushey55, welcome to our community!
The icon in the middle of your screenshot means that the NFC (Near Field Communication) feature is enabled.
This feature/service is mostly used for making payments with the device, pairing certain accessories and so forth.
I hope that helps and have a nice weekend!
@Bushey55, you're very welcome!
I don't have it enabled either and the icon is quite big and takes up a lot of space in the status bar and I want mine to be as clean as possible!
Let me know if there is anything else and have a nice day.
