I cannot seem to find the Wi-Fi calling option on my Xperia Xa1 Ultra.
Hi @Cwelch9789
Welcome to the community!
To use VoWifi or Wi-Fi Calling, your device needs operator-customised software and your subscription (incl. SIM card) must support Wi-Fi Calling for the device model you're using. To inquire if your subscription and SIM card support VoWifi/Wi-Fi Calling, contact your mobile network operator.
To enable Wi-Fi Calling on Android 8.0
Android 6.0, 7.0, 7.1 or 7.1.1 To enable Wi-Fi Calling on Android 6.0, 7.0, 7.1 or 7.1.1
Let me know if you need any further help

Hi @ragjon
As mentioned above to use VoWifi or Wi-Fi Calling, your device needs operator-customised software and your subscription (incl. SIM card) must support Wi-Fi Calling for the device model you're using.
Have you spoken to your network provider to make sure the above is relevant to your SIM, also, if you do not have operator-customised software on your device, even if the option for WiFi Calling is available to you with the subscription you have, you will not be able to use WiFi Calling on your handset.
Hi! I am still trying to figure out wi-fi calling on my Xperia Z5. When you say operator-customised software is needed, i dont know where to get it (if that is the problem) My operator says my Sim card is active for wi-fi calling everytime i call them, but nothing changes in my device. I was asked to try sim card in another device or another sim card in my phone, but i do not want to buy another phone or a sim card from another operator either. Most certainly would end up with double set of useless phones.
Sorry but what is the point in having wifi calling built into the phone when network providers don't even support the feature?! The only network that provides wifi calling for the Sony xperia XA1 is EE, they then demand that you've purchased their own version of the XA1. This is all a scam. I require wifi calling as our house gets no signal regardless of network providers. I own a XA1, it has wifi calling as a feature... YET I CAN'T USE IT WITH ANY NETWORK PROVIDER. They just want me to buy a whole brand new phone, it's daylight robbery. Again, why did Sony bother implementing wifi calling on my phone if it can't even be used? Sorry we don't all have money to go out and buy the latest iPhone just so we can access wifi calling.
I have the XA1 (G3121). I have Android Oreo but there isn't an option for WiFi calling in the settings.
Can I get some clarification, so this phone is technically capable of WiFi calling, just need the software update settings from my network provider?
