WiFi authentication problem

I usually connect to wifi at work or at home and I have started to experience problems. I frequently get authentication problems. I have tried the fix to disabled wifi and mobile data and then switch to flightmode. Then switching off flightmode and enable wifi and mobile data. It works fine but I can not accept to perform this type of workaround every time I get the problem. Is there a more permanent solution. Seems as IF I'm not the only one. All other products on my net work, work fine all the time.

I solved ALL my Sony phone problems - I bought a OnePlus 7 Pro and it is the BEST phone I have owned since my Blackberry days.

I really liked my Sony device but when Sony announced no more software upgrades beyond Oreo for my device, which was only 6 months old at the time, I said no more Sony devices. 

I know they will never see this post, but it won't be because they are busy pushing updates out to their phones older than 1 year.....
