EXPERIENCING PROBLEM WITH XPERIA -P OUTER COVER COLOUR FADES AND THE ALUMINIUM BODY IS COMING OUT WITH SIM HOLDER AREA

HI 

i am using SONY XPERIA - P LT22I model and i am having a problem of outer cover which is fading out like a seasoning the black color fades and the  aluminium body is coming out ..... at first when i bought it the color was silver after that it was having a battery problem then from  ( SNEHA COMMUNICATIONS SERVICE CENTER ) KOLKATA WEST BENGAL THEY SEND MY HANDSET TO CHENNAI FOR REPLACEMENT..... AFTER 7 DAYS WHEN I GOT BACK MY HANDSET MY COLOR WAS CHANGED FROM SILVER TO BLACK ...... then after a few days I was having a problem of sim holder my sim automatically comes out then I took it to ( NEOSA ELECTRONICS RASHBEHARI SERVICE CENTER WHICH IS RECOMENDED BY THE GALAXY STORE ) FROM THERE THEY TOLD ME THAT WE WILL SEND IT CHENNAI AS BECAUSE ITS A MOTHER BOARD PROBLEM so after 25 days I got my handset and within one week a new problem started the sim holder outer cover has fallen the metal strip small now the sim holder only covered with a plastic rubber band type which was present earlier and which was under the small strip metal ................

From back side of my phone some of the areas color is coming out and the aluminum body is seen both the sides the BLACK color inside is creating a bubble and after few days the portion of different sides of the handset the color ( BLACK ) is coming out and the aluminum body is seen which is before the BLACK  PAINT ...............

NOW THE PROBLEM IS I HAVE BUYED THIS SET ON THIS YEAR WHICH IS HAVING A WARRANTY PERIOD AND BUYED FROM GALAXY ( SONY CENTER STORE  )

CAN ANY BODY OF THE SONY PERSONNELS CAN HELP ME OUT ABOUT THESE ............. I AM ATTACHING THE PHOTOS HERE PLEASE GO THROUGH THIS................... no no only its true that sony has taken only  25 days

I never thought that our aluminum cover can be tear up like this..its just wow,i dont want my phone to look like this

Hi, I am using Xperia P since 9 months. And a few days ago, i saw the color on the backside has started fading. And there is a bubble formation and the paint is coming out. I went to the service center in Gwalior, MP (India), but they are not helpful at all.

I have been using my phone in a protecting case since Day 1. And there is one more problem, after few days when i bought the phone, the metal strip ( the SIM holder outer cover) came out. Luckily, I found it and i took the phone to the point of purchase and one of the guy in the store fixed it. But again after few days that metal strip fell and this time i could not find it. I am really very annoyed now. Despite of buying the phone from Sony Store in Pune, Maharashtra (India) and paying extra money just for the assurance and reliability, I am still facing the problems. And please tell me, "Why the customers have to suffer when there is a manufacturing fault?"

actually they told me the chennai division of sony that there is no warranty on cosmetic issues but took it to service centre  they helped me out i told them is this the service of sony its better when it was sony ericsson they told me wait for few days i will talk on this issues and for one week i fight with them as because this is a fault of manufacturing and manufacturing fault means the company will take charge of this things and they will replaced it free of cost ...................................... then within twenty five days they changed it actually the price high on back cover not the lower one or both sides or the switches or the upper side actually this is waethering type thing those bubbles call to sony or better go to customer forum with ur bill and see they will take steps against this ...........................

This is nothing unusual. I bought my Xperia P in July last year and within one month I started having the same issue.. The paint was coming out from various places which was preceeded by bubble formation for no apparent reason. I talked to Sony Service Centre in my area and they told me that this is regular wear-n-tear and cosmetic damages are not covered under warranty... This was on a 1 month old phone!!

After several emails and phone calls and rounds to the Service Centre.. I was finally able to get the back cover replaced free of charge from Sony (I can't possibly describe all the painful experiences that I had with Sony Support all this while). The entire process took more than 60 days when my phone was lying with the service centre while no replacement was given..

And guess what... after just 20-30 days of usage the paint started going off again from several places.. I have decided to just live with it now...

*BTW I started using a full case on the phone after the first experience and the damage is lesser now as compared to earlier.

Hi I bought xperia P four months ago and after using it for 1 month I realised the aluminium painting in the plastic region around the earphone jack was wearing out fast.When I checked the forum I realised that I am not the only one having the problem.After this the same problem started on the plastic bottom cap below the illumination bar.This is embarassing.With my protective cover on the phone I dont expect this to happen.I hope sony will see to it that they address this issue.
