On my new sont eperia z1 am new to android

if i wanted to download apps like xbox one smartglass and call of duty ghost app

do i need to sign or download google play app on my phone?then just download from there or do i have to download everthing to my computer then to my phone

You can download directly to your phone,just enter google play.
