Since the Z Ultra is so big, it could really benefit from tablet-optimized UIs in landscape mode. The stock mail app demonstrates this very nicely. I see both the list of mails and the selected mail at the same time.
However, most other apps (like GMail, Chrome, Youtube, Feedly) always use the normal phone UI. This is probably because the Z Ultra reports itself as being a "phone". I think that it would be much smarter to use the tablet UI when in landscape mode and only use the phone UI when in portrait mode.
Of course I could root my phone and do this myself, but it would be much nicer if Sony did this with an official update.
