Hi,
I bought a brand new Xperia L phone, 2 weeks ago through snapdeal.com and I'm facing an issue with the Wifi on this phone.
The problem is something like this - the Wifi despite being turned on all the time & with excellent signal strength, seems to be going off to sleep/not working intermittently. Unfortunately, there is no specific time interval or an event that triggers this problem - eg. locking the phone etc. After every now and then, I have to keep turing the wifi off and then back on, to be able to access internet.
Before writing this, I have tried troubleshooting with the following solutions, however none of them succeeded in solving the problem -
- Got the wifi connectivity checked - works fine. Many other devices (of different makes) work absolutely fine, all the time on the same wifi.
- Checked the router DHCP - is kept on
- Unchecked the option of 'Wifi going to sleep' on the phone
- Checked the same functionality by running the phone in 'Safe Mode' - the problem persists
Is there any other solution that has worked for anyone? Any help or pointers to the problem would be greatly appreciated.
Also, I suspect this is a hardware problem and if no solution works, I would like to get the phone replaced (since has only been 2 weeks since its purchase). Is it possible to get a refund/replacement for a faulty handset experience, like this one?
Would appreciate prompt suggesstions/solution options.
Thanks in advance.
I had the same problem when I got my phone as well. But after turning on the wi/fi manually a few times it started doing it on its own. I dont know if this helps but thats what i had to do. Also had to do this with my wifes xperia m
