Install or Run via SD

Is this just not an option on Sony Phones?

Have used the "Transfer data to SD card" which is simplistic and "fine". wondering as numerous applications offer install/move to SD and cannot find anything under Storage or Applications ( beyond clear cache/data) to facilitate this. Sorry, just used to this from previous phones since Android 4.0 released.

The external SD-card is only used for media and other files. You can't install apps on the external SD-card. Some apps and games may however have an option to store data on the external SD-card but that is an option inside that game/app in that case.

Thanks, gathered as much. Know on rooted devices this is an option and select other providers. Figured I found all required, will juggle the apps as Data that is moveable already on SD. Always the more free room the merrier!
