49XG9005 Netflix HDR
Hi people,
I like HDR movies on Netflix, they look great. But when subtitles get displayed on screen, they burn through my retina and the TV changes the contrast of the scene a little. What TV settings do I need to adjust so that they don't burn that much? Else I will probably have to change the subtitles color to yellow and even make them translucent.
Thanks!

Also disabling HDR for Netflix is an option. But there's no way to do it.

I'm assuming this could also be the problem, since the subtitles are significantly brighter than any scene.

I have similar with my XG9005. You can go into Netflix settings on your PC or Phone and change the subtitle colour in settings. I originally did this to yellow for my XE9005 but even with yellow its too bright. Someone suggested red. So I might try that next.
You can also change the opaqueness (semi-transparent setting) but, to be honest it doesn't seem to help as while my phone shows it dimmer, the TV still is retina burn territory.
