- my ps4 pro is connected to hdmi 2 and very randomly the information banner at the top of the screen will appear while playing games. The transparent black banner that displays the current display resolution, input channel, time etc)
Its almost as if the tv thinks that the signal has changed or been lost for a split second. When it hasnt at all.
Sometimes a loss of audio occurs at the same time.
How do i fix this problem?
notes : Restarting the tv does not fix it.
All ps4 pro settings are auto for sound/video
hdmi cable is the one that came with the ps4 pro.
bravia sync is off, as if hdmi link.
tv is fully updated, as is the ps4 pro.
- When i connect the ps4 pro to hdmi 3, the banner displays different information than on hdmi 2.
Hdmi 3 says 'Stereo 3840x2160P'
Hdmi 2 says 'B 3840x2160P'
what does the 'B' mean? could that be the cause of the other issue?
thanks in advance for any help/advice i get.
I get the same too on my xbox one going into my 49XD8088 - drives me nuts!
Hi both
Have you tried setting the HDMI Signal Format to 'Enhanced' in the External input settings area?
You can completely switch off that "Info banner" by going to the "Channel setup" setttings area and setting the "Info Banner" to OFF.
Cheers
yes i already turned on my enhanced hdmi so i could get hdr working
it only seems to happen on hdmi 2.
hdmi 1,3,4 seem to be ok (but as ive said. its very, very random.)
another thing thats odd is that hdmi 2 display 'B 3840x2160P' when i turn on the ps4 pro.
if i connect the ps4 pro to hdmi 3 and turn it on it will say 'Stereo 3840x2160P'
just as my xbox one does on hdmi 1, and my wii u does on hdmi 4.
What does the 'B' mean? why isnt hdmi 2 saying 'Stereo' aswell?
I have no idea what B stands for
If you can take a photo, when it happens - difficult if its entirely random, then ill ask Sony. But you can turn off that banner entirely.
