KD-65A1 Subwoofer output issue
Hello,
I love great picture and I'm not fan of great home theater multichannel sound. However I missed a little low frequencies. When I discover on my TV the option Subwoofer under Headphone/Audio out, I become very happy. I run to my near electronic shop to get an active subwoofer. You can imagine my disappointment when I discover that the option subwoofer separate NOTHING! All frequencies are passed to the woofer. Even on 5.1 tests on YouTube I hear all channels from sub and nothing when LFE!!! Wonderful! Now I have a sub I can not use Smiley Sad
Hope I missing something and you can tell me...

Thank you for riching out.
I connect my subwoofer to headphones (with a stereo headset adpting to LFE's mono RCA) and set the headphones as subwoofer on Audio settings.

Hi @ArianHD,
since you mentioned in your first post, that the setting is called Headphone/Audio out, the TV may also have a stereo chinch output somewhere on the back.

The red and white plugs (connectors are colored as well).
Presumably your headphone (TRS) cable has these connectors on the other end as well.

Yes. It's exacly like that. Standard stereo jack to RCA https://goo.gl/HFf6Hu then RCA stereo to RCA mono https://goo.gl/kcv3Fp

Hi @ArianHD,
what does the input on your subwoofer look like?
Is it orange? (since you go back from stereo to mono it is probably a coaxial port - a port which has nothing to do with Chinch and requires a different signal type)

Hi @ArianHD,
then it is even a dedicated subwoofer input.
While the plug fits I am quite certain, that a direct input that way wouldn't work.
At least I have never seen a setup like this without a receiver in between the TV and the woofer.
Have you looked for a Chinch output somewhere else on the TV?
