I keep getting the message above. I have installed another sky cable to the dish, as I have a twin dish cable and there is only 1 tv socket.
Sorry but it is hard to understand which cable you have connected to the tv from the sky dish...hope you don't expect to connect a satellite cable to the tv and watch sky without using the decoder...
No. The new Bravia has 1 sky socket on the back. My sky box has a 2 coax lead into it's box. All I have done is to install a new single coax from the spare outlet on the dish to the tv. The sky cales remain untouched.
Hi @charlie7346
Have you tested your new cable, perhaps by swapping one in your Sky box? Or vice versa, attaching one of the Sky box cables into the TV.
Presumably the actual Sky box is connected to this TV via HDMI and is working? - your problem is trying to use the satellite dish directly connected to the TV?
If the KD43XH8196 is like the previous 2019 modelm the satellite input socket does not work unless you disable Youview. The satellie socket is not really intended for use in the UK and can only work if you turn off Youview which also disables a couple of the players (ITV and Ch4 players)
You'd also need to tune in channels from the satellite dish and this particular satellite receiver is extremely basic and may just give you hundreds of mixed up channels in no particular order, many being unavailable due to scrambling encryption.
