Hi Quinnicus
Bad news: Fix did not work.
Good news: I tried reinstalling the update file from Sony using an old USB formatted to FAT32 (previously using a 64GB NTFS stick) and this worked!
Thanks for all your help and for the FAT32 idea!

If the update doesnt start at all, try a different USB drive snd make sure you follow the update instructions exactly.

Hi @Anonymous
Facing the same issue regarding updating the firmware for Android 2015 model kdl-50w807c (on rev 2.257.0010EUA).
Have tried the obvious; d/l from internet, usb (with multiple devices), and factory reset without success. The firmware update always aborts mid-way (~44%).
Could you please share your fw update workaround / instructions.
Many thanks,
Mark.

Hi @Taranin
Ive replied to your PM - however for other peoples benefit:
Unfortunately the fix that I have is only for Android TVs and hence will not work on your TV. However, please see the following two links to find hints. However, all else fails - factory reset the TV and try again.
