XH9505 ITV live TV

Hi 

From the youview app, accessing ITV Hub doesn't show the option of watching Live TV. I only see option for watching catch up TV. Is this intended behaviour? If so, what is the alternative way to watching ITV channels live?

Probably no wheels because it’s a personal aircraft. Life and technology move on and the terrestrial aerial is essentially 20 century technology. I no longer have one and have lived happily without it for years. My aging but functional Sony XR55A80J will receive all BBC channels in brilliant quality. I have invested in an expensive internet plan and top quality modem, none of which I regret. I can receive Sky Sports, Discovery including TNT, all the streams available on my FireStick including Amazon Video, all without an aerial. As I understand it all just about all other TV sets known to man can receive ITV without an aerial including many Sony TV’s.

Sony has had many years to sort this problem for the XR55A80J but has chosen not to do so. So I am  about to replace my TV and have chosen not to make it a Sony. I have had LG tv’s in the past and have found them excellent. Any views on this would be gratefully received.

You may be living in the 21st Century but it doesn't explain why you are replying to a question that was posted 3 years ago and been resolved.

If I have missed it, I apologise. I have spent many a frustrating hour on this site and various other internet sites without finding any resolution. Please will you tell me where to find an explanation of how to watch ITV1 on my XR55A80J without an aerial and I will be eternally grateful.

The App is called ITVX and is available on the XR-55A80J. It includes Live ITV television without an aerial (it may require an ITVX subscription, I have one, see below).

I believe you can watch the live itv channels without the Premium subscription; it’s just that you will get adverts if you watch On Demand without it.

It also gives access to Britbox, or whatever that is morphing into.
