Hi, there is this: (no PC needed) 

Hard Reset SONY XPERIA L1 (G3311 / G3312 / G3313) with Hardware Key Button:

1. Make sure the battery fully charge
2. Do not forget to backup all important data
3. Turn off the SONY XPERIA L1 (G3311 / G3312 / G3313)
4. Press and Hold together: Power Button + Volume Up Button for several seconds
5. Follow the menu at LCD screen to continue the hard reset SONY XPERIA L1 (G3311 / G3312 / G3313)

Or, you can install Xperia Companion and follow the procedure for resetting the L1.

Update/data loss

Hi, today sunday i had upgrade on my phone, befor instalment mesage come up no data will be lost, and please make sure you battery is more than 50%, update complited, by the end it didnt ask my screen pasword so it was still in online mode, when i went to check my photoes, majority of tham are gone, we just back from the trip, camera quality is great, and today plan was to download all to the desctop. Phone was never pluged to the computer, and only charged from the socket, never app crushed, so all was standart follow up routines.
Need asap advice, and photoes data back, thank you for reply

Hello, try accessing your sd card, maybe the Album app doesn't read it properly or... if you are using another album/pbotos app like Google's, try rescanning your aps.

The idea is that any update doesn't mess with your sd memory card. 

Hope you'll fix it and get them back.
