Apps won't move to SD card?

All of a sudden I am having problems with transferring files from phone to SD card. When I click on "move to SD Card" it says "couldn't move app". After I unmount SD card and mount it again, it allows me to move them, but after that the app gets lost, and it's like it is not installed at all. It used to work just fine, I am on kitkat 4.4.4 stock rom, no root or anything... Is my card dead or what? It opens pictures and other files from SD card normally BTW. This is very strange any help is appreciated.

An update: it won't save pictures on SD card either. Have tried a different SD card,same thing happens.

@mb011 There are issues with moving apps to SD, sometimes those are not found. But if you say the same occurs with media, perhaps there is something wrong with the device. Can you try to perform a software repair?
