Black screen - everything else works!

Hi!

I have an Xperia M4, and the screen went totally black yesterday. It seems to be the only thing that doesn't work: the led works, it charges, the sound and power buttons work, and the tactile screen seems to work too (I can feel it vibrate when I try to enter my code).

I thought the LCD screen might be broken, but the screen went back to normal and then black again a couple of times!

I've tried to turn it off with the button near the sim card, didn't change anything. The software is up to date. I'm thinking about trying to do the software repare with companion...

Any advise here?

Thanks!

Hi @Elo64,

Sorry to hear about that.

It's very difficult for me to speculate regarding what may have happened, it could be a number of reasons. In this case I recommend that you follow @uliwooly advice and contact your Local support for instructions on how you may have your device sent to an authorized service center.

Our warranty covers manufacturing defects, but a technician first has to examine your device before a decision regarding the warranty can be made. You can find our warranty terms by clicking this link.

XC didn't work...

Is it possible that there is a loose connection with the screen or something? Are those kind of problems covered by the guarantee?
