Camera button not working

On diagnostics it works but in the camera app it doesn't work, it won't take pictures and I can start the camera app with the camera button but it won't take pictures with it.

In other words the physical camera button has "never" worked? if that's the case return the phone.

Maybe there's a glitch elsewhere in the app Try this Go to Settings > Apps > Scroll Down until you found Camera app > Tap on Clear Cache,Clear Data and Force Stop > Restart your phone See if the problem is addressed after doing the steps. Hope that helps!

Yeah that is correct

Looks like you need a software repair

Install PC Companion > Connect your phone > On PC Companion press Software Update > Press on a small blue line "repair phone/tablet" > wait for repair

See if theres improvement after that

Ok i'll try that later, few minutes ago I was fiddling with it and found out if I very lightly put my finger on the button it focuses and stays focused until I press the button to take the picture so I think that the button is screwed.

That's how the camera button work, it's a 2 step button, the first stop is to focus > second stop is to snap the picture, I don't understand the problem.

I understand that it's a two step button but I don't feel the first step only the second one. Yes I bought it like that last monday, I noticed it instantly but I was thinking maybe I have to enable it or something like that so it didn't bother me that much, but now its pretty frustrating cause I always used Sony phones and could never believe that Sony would ship out a defected phone.
