Hello All,
First of all, forgive me if I missed the resolution of this problem.
My problem is that my Xperia M2 (with the latest .182 update but ever since upgrading it to android 5.1) keeps showing the exclamation mark besides the wifi icon when connecting to a network. It doesn't matter if it is my home network or any other, and deleting the existing connection and create it as new doesn't helped either. Somewhere I did read that reinserting the sim card would solve this - but it didn't.
At around 4 times out of 5 this happens. For about half a minute the mark appears and there is no internet - so the notifications doesn't arrive either. And because of some mysterious reason there are times when it connects just fine.
Thanks in advance for the help.
Regards,
Adam

Thank you but I didn't miss that one. I already tried to set the static ip and the google DNS but it didn't solve it for me. I even tried it for 2 connections but none of them worked well.
Also I am curious if it only affects me or it is a common problem. (I am in Hungary.)
@Morricone So basically it happens everywhere for you, not only on a single ISP, right? Have you tried a software repair using Xperia Companion?
Yes, it happens with every wifi connection. Also I know that it is fixed after about half a minute but this can't be normal.
I haven't tried to repair the device but I already had to reset the phone twice (because I had to send it back). Do you suggest to do it as well?
Yes, you should give that a try and if it does not help, time to send it to the Local support.

Enter-settings put global captive_portal_detection_enabled 0 into a terminal (Android app) or if rooted with init.d add as a script and your problem will be solved.

You are the man! And the guy who wrote that post.
I have been testing it for a day now, the error disappeared!
Many thanks!
