Hi,
i have just updated the phone (18.3.1.C.1.15) as required through a computer, followed all the instructions. On restart of the phone, the touch screen seems like it's disabled, now i cannot swipe and unlock the phone. Cannot turn phone off as when i press the middle button on the body it ask to press power off on the phone! Only thing i can do, when i get the Power Off window, is to turn the camera on with the side button (very useful...not!). Seems like the update has caused this problem as the phone was perfectly working beforehand. From what i have read around on the Forum seems like this update has been causing mulfunctions to phones fow a while! So i wonder why is Sony still letting customer update if this only caused troubles?? Not very clever....
Solved! Go to Solution.
You should repair the phone with PCC, it will smooth things out
press and hold power & volume up for 10 seconds > then reinstall the update with PCC
Bridge (for Mac)

Thanks Uliwooly,
i had tried to hold power and volume and didn't work. What actually worked was to hold power and press the Off button next to the sim card slot. For now the phone seems to be working even if with a bit of lag on the touchscreen. Fingers crossed it'll be fine.
@uliwooly,
i think for now i'll leave it like this, it now seems to be getting better. If things will get worse i'll try to re-install through Sony Bridge then. Thanks again.
Anytime
