Hello everyone.
I'm experiencing a very awful situation with my device. About a month ago, my M4 had some kind of blackout, my phone was like bricked or something. I tried to repair it through Xperia Companion and my PC didn't even detected my phone, tried in at last 4 different PCs and had the same result. Minutes later battery was dead, didn't receive energy from battery charger, tried another phone battery charger with no results. I take my phone to a couple of technicians... One of them found the problem in the USB bay of the phone, He fixed it but phone still having issues. Could be powered on... but sadly the operating system is running with extreme lags, very annoying. I put the phone under Repair thorugh Companion, flashed, restarted but still the same lag... was worst than the inital lag when I purchased it with Lollipop. I tried several times but my phone still having the extreme lag. Can't even connect to the Wifi internet or mobile internet. All those issues happened after I installed an update that came after I upgraded to Marshmallow.
So, can anyone of you tell me what the ** is going on!?
I'm so frustrated with my M4. It's the first time that I started to hate a Sony device, my record with Sony smartphones was very pleasant, but this M4 is very disappointing.
Help me! Please!
Hi @reese_102, I am so sorry to read that.
When you had it repaired by a technician, was it at an authorized service center or at a third party center? Also, after the software repair, did you restore any backups before the behaviour started occurring or was it there fresh from the install?
In any case, I would strongly recommend to have it sent to an authorized service center since I'm afraid that there is not much else you can try yourself if a software repair did not help. In order to have it sent in, I recommend getting in touch with your Local support in order to have them assist you since they are well informed regarding your local service routines, warranty terms and consumer laws.
Unfortunately was with a 3rd party. There is no authorized service center in my city (Cali, Colombia), it's probably at Bogotá and my budget can't afford a trip to that city right now. So, I'm affraid that I have to declare my phone "absolutely dead".
If it was serviced by a third party service center I'm afraid that the functionality of your device can't be guaranteed, and that could be the reason behind what you're experiencing. I'm afraid that the only thing I can refer you to is your Local support in order to see what possibilities you have regarding having your device sent to service.
