lack of memory space
I have an xperia m2 and it keeps telling me my internal memory is 75% full, transfer some data to sd card. I then transfer what the phone tells me. I have a 16gb memory card inserted with 14gb spare. I brows what apps etc i have on the phone but none of them are transferable to sd card. What can i do to free up more internal space?

This has been answered a lot in the past months. Apps moved to SD card are not stored there with their data, read more here.
Also, to overcome that message, you can try this:
Or simply move media files to external SD and remove some of the apps.

you can't, that's how Android work, you need at least 500MB or so to be able to update apps.

Hi
I'm unable to understand how is the xperia m2 memory matters planned. I've been months with the memory colapsed by the main aplications. I survived some time uninstalling updates and erasing the few app that the system allow you to uninstall. But it was imposible to have some memory to install important aplications, so I decided to buy a 16GB SD Card, to fix it.
Now, 2 months later, i'm in the same problem. I have 14/16GB TOTALLY FREE on my mobile phone, and the 8GB of the mobile FULL. It doesn't let me move memory to the SD Card, it only moves a few files with low weight.
So my question is... what's the idea for this mobile? I have 42 app without updating cause there's no memory, and i only have a few aplications like Facebook, Whatsapp, Gmail, etc. So I cannot:
1) Install new apps
2) Update those I have
3) Fix it by buying extra memory
So what's the idea? I bought a bad mobile device? Is there any other way of fixing this PROBLEM?
Thanks for your time, and sorry if my way of communicating isn't the right one, i'm from Spain.

Since the phone has limited internal storage there isn't much that you can do, only install apps that you use/need, if you have a preloaded app that you don't use, > settings > apps > all > uninstall updates > disable, also settings > apps > all > menu > sort by size > clear the app data every now on then to the top 5 apps

Hi, I have a problem with internal memory on my M2. It says my internal memory is completely full, I can't install anything. I have SD card with 3gb of space available but when I click to transfer data to SD card nothing happens. I downloaded Xperia Companion to try to transfer data manually but when I open folders on internal memory they are empty (pictures, video, etc.), although it says that memory itself is full. Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you very much!
