I just got the phone on July 6. Within 2 hours of starting it up at the store it had restarted itself. In 72 hours the phone had 58 System Incidents. Went back to the store had the hardware & sim card replaced. Now the new device is doing the samne thing, but worse! Since July 11 till now I have had 99 System Incidents!!! What is the problem?? I tried doing all the resets and PCC, unloading apps & their updates... Still resets every 20mins or less... Sometime it just completly shuts down! 2 Brand new out of the box devices faultly? Or is it a hardware issue.. I called sony support, they claim (as well as my service provider Virgin Mobile) that I am the first person in North America to be having these problems with their new phone!! The chances I got the only 2 defective ones in a row. I think the odds are to small... Can anyone enlighten my situation or offer suggestions?? I waited 4 years to get a new phone... Maybe I should have waited longer
I'm suffering from the same issue, lots of reboots, even with phone at rest or while in use, no difference. Phone model E2363, version 26.1.B.147. Sony support asked me to do the repair with PC Companion, so I did last night. Since then, 11 system incidents - or reboots. If it is of some help, I got some /proc/kmsg_last logs with ADB, here's a few lines:

Hi. Im having the same problem with my brand new Aqua M4. It restarts itself at least 5 to 6 times per day. I have noticed that it only restarts when i have wifi turned on. I have latest SW update installed. Done several resets to factory defaults and only missing pcc fix. Have anybody solved the issue somehow without exchanging phones?
Hi. I had the same problem, and I think that problem was with sync. Go to settings/about phone/diagnostic and look when the last restart was happen, in minute. Then go to settings/account and try to find if any sync was attempted at that time(chrome, gmail, fitness, calendar, everything). Try to unchek and see what will happen. If it starts to work ok, then check this box again. I have this phone for two months, had this restarting problem first couple of days, but after this, my phone works great, not a single restarting.
Having the same problem, original phone had to be sent back because the main camera stopped working, after 2 weeks I got a replacement handset from Sony only to have the phone reset itself or switch off completely, spoke to the repair centre who suggested removing any apps that I downloaded to make sure it wasnt an app problem ( didn't help), Just tried a software repair using PCC, so far 5 system incidents in 50 minutes (3 resets and 2 shutdowns)!!!! complete joke of a phone, my first and possibly my last Sony phone!!
Hi,
Thanks for the tip but sadly it's not a software issue with my hone but defo a hardware one, the phone still turns itself on and off while in safe mode.
Sent it back for the 3rd time in a month last monday, hopefully will have it back repaired or replaced today or tomorrow.
I haven't been able to use it properly since i got it.
Thanks Sony for the support and it defo is the last Sony item I'll ever buy. The brand isn't what it used to be, shame.
Spoke to Sony today regarding mine, refused to acknowledge it as a known issue!!! Phone being collected tomorrow, looks like another week or so with no phone. Well played Sony!!!
I'm trying to learn those creepy logs; by a large guess, villain seems to be mmcqd...

Hi people,
Soooooo i got my phone back a few days ago after over 10 days in the "repair center".
I didn't update earlier as i had a crappy week at work and couldn't face the eventuality of my phone not being fixed, once again, on top of it.
Open the jinxed package yesterday:
Repairs report:
Defaults: 0702 - missing segment on main screen, whatever that means. In b4, my screen was fine
Repairs done:
109-12: Screen replaced
109-12: Phone frame replaced
109-12: Antenna replaced
109-12: Speaker replaced
And the obvious updates.....
So basically unless they smashed my phone with a hammer when it got there there were NO issues with the aboves.
Now, let's move on to the real issue, has my phone been fixed? NO!
28 restarts in 4 hours!
Phoned Sony hotline for the x time to which they reply they couldn't do anything anymore and that i had to write a formal complaint to Sony Xperia Customer Center. Im so fed up with the poxy phone and most especially with Sony for taking us for idiots.
Sony Make.Believe, **bleep** right!
my m4 aqua is new en it restarting itself all the time en there is no solution, im so angry now
