M4 AQUA Restarting itself and shutting itself down.
I just got the phone on July 6. Within 2 hours of starting it up at the store it had restarted itself. In 72 hours the phone had 58 System Incidents. Went back to the store had the hardware & sim card replaced. Now the new device is doing the samne thing, but worse! Since July 11 till now I have had 99 System Incidents!!! What is the problem?? I tried doing all the resets and PCC, unloading apps & their updates... Still resets every 20mins or less... Sometime it just completly shuts down! 2 Brand new out of the box devices faultly? Or is it a hardware issue.. I called sony support, they claim (as well as my service provider Virgin Mobile) that I am the first person in North America to be having these problems with their new phone!! The chances I got the only 2 defective ones in a row. I think the odds are to small... Can anyone enlighten my situation or offer suggestions?? I waited 4 years to get a new phone... Maybe I should have waited longer

Hi,
I've sent it back 3 times already and they always come up with differen s**t
1st time: nothing wrong
2nd time: can't remember
3rd time: they changed the screen and the speaker or something, nothing was wrong with either.
Check in the thread for all "repair" reports I made after i got the phone back from support.
After the 3rd time back from tech support, phone still wasn't fixed, phoned Sony customer crap and they told me to write directly to Sony Xperia customers France BS!
Im so done with them, Im actually in touch with a customers right association and thankfully Im not the only one having issues with them.

That's a terrible thing to say, you should NOT dissuade users from seeking professional assistance, again, your issue its different.

I posted:
I don't think Sony will send a device in such condition, you might want to contact the shipping company but if they hand you the device in person then that's different and you must contact them as soon as possible, but how come you didn't pointed out when they handed it to you?

after 4 days I have to travel 140 KMs, I have contacted service center and told him regarding issues. I got hectic work schedule still managing to go. Will update their reply. Service from sony is too Late they took 1 month for replacing this set.
.
Which means that it could have been bent by the shipping company.

I Think i may have solved it. I was restarting 2 or 3 times a day, i did a factory restore which didnt solve it but then Youtube app wouldn't play videos. I tried to update Youtube app and it wouldn't update. i googled around and found there to be many people suffering from youtube issues and the solution was to unistall any youtube updates and download and install the 32bit version from the internet rather than the playstore as it seems there is an issue with 64 bit version. I am now at 28hrs with no reboot which makes me wonder if there was a memory leak issue with the 64bit youtube app wich caused the phone to reboot.

There is hope: Sony started rolling out new firmware versions, 26.1.A.3.111 for single sim, 26.1.B.3.109 for dual.

Updated my phone to the latest firmware this morning, 50 restarts so far...
Just for info the 423 "incidents", restarts, actually happened between the 10 of march and today.
But yeah, Sony customer service still insist there's nothing wrong with the phone.
