I just got the phone on July 6. Within 2 hours of starting it up at the store it had restarted itself. In 72 hours the phone had 58 System Incidents. Went back to the store had the hardware & sim card replaced. Now the new device is doing the samne thing, but worse! Since July 11 till now I have had 99 System Incidents!!! What is the problem?? I tried doing all the resets and PCC, unloading apps & their updates... Still resets every 20mins or less... Sometime it just completly shuts down! 2 Brand new out of the box devices faultly? Or is it a hardware issue.. I called sony support, they claim (as well as my service provider Virgin Mobile) that I am the first person in North America to be having these problems with their new phone!! The chances I got the only 2 defective ones in a row. I think the odds are to small... Can anyone enlighten my situation or offer suggestions?? I waited 4 years to get a new phone... Maybe I should have waited longer
Had another freeze so its not the launcher ;*(
And now just happened again - with Stamina mode off
Several times today.
Think I'll do a software repair tonight and if it keeps on happening after that its a non-Sony phone for me.
Did a repair through Bridge and within an hour of finishing setting up all my apps etc I had another freeze.
Think this is going back this weekend.
Took it back. Couldnt trust a phone like this and I need to be contactable.
Yeah I ended up exchanging mine for 2 other M4s before I got one that works properly... So far no issues with this one.... What phone did you replce yours with?
I now have a second hand Xperia Z1 which has turned out to be a far more reliable phone. Still gets warm, and the touchscreen sometimes doesn't like that but switching display on or off soon removes any occasional niggle,.
At least I know I can rely on this to take a call
Hi there,
Did anyone find a solution to this problem with Xperia M4 Aqua? I received my new Xperia M4 Aqua this week and it is restarting itself almost every 20 mins. I did a factory reset then it did not restart for about 8 hours but then it started rebooting itself again.
its mainly due to some hardware issue as all the M4 aqua phones are not having same issues. its better to get it replaced asap.
