M5 camera button

Hi I got a brand new Sony M5 and the camera button. Works to activate the camera app but not to take a pic???

open the camera > settings > quick launch > take a picture.

If the camera its already open, you have to press the button harder as it has 2 stops, half press it to focus > press it all the way to snap the picture
