I recently bought me the xperia M4 aqua dual and configured the Myxperia service on the device. After day 3 I restarted the M4.
As the M4 was started up the MXTP gave me the lockdown screen with the verify, wifi settings and emergency call options on it. So as I wanted to unlock my device i pressed the verify button and a log in screen for my google account appears. I use my google account on all kinds of different devices so I logged in. But here someting goes wrong.
When I typed in the username and password to verify it is my M4 it gave me a loading icon for 2 seconds and then it says "incorrect username and/or password" and my M4 stays locked. To double check if my password and username are correct i logged in to another adroid device and my laptop with no problems. So now I'm stuck with a brand new non working xperia M4 and my hope for a good working security system is all lost.
Thanks Sony.
Before two days I factory reset my Xperia M4 ,because I had turned on the ultra stamina mode and cause of it I lost many of my apps.So to solve this problem I factory reset the phone.I forgot to turnoff the My Xperia Theft Protection before factory reset. When my phone restarted back it asked me to authenticate my google account which I used before on my phone. Now when I entered the same account details its showing the message Incorrect username/password,but when I access the same account from pc its working.I am really very sad knowing that I wont be able to open my fone now.Pls someone help me I need help very very badly :smileysad::smileysad:
The only working solution for me was what the Sony support told me to do. I had to send back my Xperia M4 to where it came from, an online store that operates from a neighbouring country.
And indeed all my problems were solved after sending it back. They actually send me a brand new one so I didn't had to wait for it too long. Don't know if that's Sony's policy or that from the store I bought it from (probably the store), but I'm very pleased that problem has been dealt with.
Hi,
Same problem i facing, so what i do now. I want to unlock my mobile (SONY XPERIA m4 AQYA DUAL)
Hi @kanthu
Your device is asking to authenticate with your Google account ?
I'm at disposal for any question.
Best Regards,
Even i am facing the same problem, while i even changes my google account, screen just appears to be username /password error, freak ! **bleep** yeah ! i do not want to configure my protection, in deed it is protecting owner from being use the device, such a holy disappointment ! i should have checked the forum before performing the factory reset, the another problem which i was facing is the high usage of the battery, the heat part, phone heats a lot, thought to factory reset the phone, phone gone into lockdown mode, sheet upset !
Can anyone just run thru how this works. I have bought a nearly new phone on Ebay which has been reset and has therefore locked down. I am going to return the phone to the seller who will then authenticate with their details but how do I proceed from that point because if I reset the phone to input my details surely it will just lockdown again. This seems like a nightmare to me
Hello,
I wanted to reset my phone and I therefore performs reinitialisation from the software on oridnateur . but by turning my laptop it was being blocked and can not unlock it while I enter all the information correctly ... so I tried to reinitialisation from my xperia but this site can not find my phone ... what do I do ?
Thank you
what if i had used same google acc for mxtp?
Basically, what happend is that I néver turned on MXTP. (I didn't even know it was there)
And all of the sudden my phone got locked down.
I entered correct Google information. Yet, I still cannot log in.
I have tried this:
1. Open the my Xperia website. 2. Erase the data on your M4 which is stuck on the "Protected" MXTP screen. You may need to re-login on the websie. 3. Let the phone reset itself to factory settings. 4. The MXTP screen pops up again when you run the Xperia initial setup. 5. Enter your google login info here. It SHOULD go through now. 6. Frantically make sure at least 20 times that MXTP is disabled and curse it to oblivion with torment and pain for eternity.
The only problem is.. That when I try to log in to the MyXperia website, I get a message that I used a different google-account to activate my phone -> but I haven't.....
Can anyone help me?
I'm sorry to hear that, but for this particular issue you have to contact your Local support
