MXTP created problems for me.

I recently bought me the xperia M4 aqua dual and configured the Myxperia service on the device. After day 3 I restarted the M4.

As the M4 was started up the MXTP gave me the lockdown screen with the verify, wifi settings and emergency call options on it. So as I wanted to unlock my device i pressed the verify button and a log in screen for my google account appears. I use my google account on all kinds of different devices so I logged in. But here someting goes wrong.

When I typed in the username and password to verify it is my M4 it gave me a loading icon for 2 seconds and then it says "incorrect username and/or password" and my M4 stays locked. To double check if my password and username are correct i logged in to another adroid device and my laptop with no problems. So now I'm stuck with a brand new non working xperia M4 and my hope for a good working security system is all lost.

Hi Thommo,

Thanks but cannot get the phone functioning and re-formating. I have done software update through PC-companion but it doesn´t help. The phone still returns to the "Protected" mode.

hi,.i just want to ask if what google mobile management tool you you used..i also have the same problem and all of the solutions mentioned here is not working for me,,.please help..thanks a lot

It has been 2 and half week, my phone is still in service centre, the service centre guys tell board has been ordered but not booked under my name due to scarcity of the hardware, they are not able to give any estimation when my phone will be ready, what is this, poor service

Have you tried doing this...?

I have Unlocked My M4Aqua by following procedure..Give a Try..

MXTP is causing problems if we have more than one google accounts configured in the phone.

To solve the issue

1.Turn OFF your phone and turn it ON again.

2.Your phone will be turned on as normal before the PROTECTED screen appears you will have around 20 secs.

3.Go to Settings->Accounts->Google Accounts->Remove the Google Account which you have not configured with MXTP(except the one you used for activating Protection by my Xperia).

4.now when the PROTECTED screen appears Authenticate with the google account(given while activating MXTP).

your phone will come to normal mode...

better immediately deactivate this feature going to Settings-->Security--->Protection by my Xperia and then Decativate...

After 3 long weeks i got my phone back, and now the phones light sensor and auto rotation not working, contacted with service centre, they told need to take the set to service centre again, I am fed up

hi i also face this MXTP Problem and fix this by myself.Hope it helps.....

1.Just try to insert exact sim in exact sim card slot which you had before that problem occurs.

2. Then give your email id and password which u gave during activation MXTP.  Then the problem may be solve.

I also face this issue during change my sim. I gave several times my gmail id and password but the protected screen says 'incorrect user id or password' After that i insert exact two sim in the same slot which i had before.After that i connect my xperia m4 aqua with Wi fi and gave my gmail id and password...................And then MAGIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My protected screen mode gone......Now I am happy with my xperia m4 aqua...Anybody can contract with me by this Gmail id.

Dear All

I am facing the same issue , i tried by removing the account but it did not work

i also tried by removing the sim card but still it did not work

i called upon helpline number    they said you have to continuously type 10 times and it will open

if it doesnt you have to send it for factory settings default
